The candles are lit and the ingredients, which are impregnated into the cotton, vaporise and are drawn down the hollow center of the candle into the outer portion of the ear by a long established 'chimney' (heated, air current flow) principle.
The heat of the released, circulated vapours travel inside the ear gently massaging the ear drum (lymphatic membrane), this is a similar action to the effects of sound waves. This action helps to regulate the pressure systems within the head including the sinuses, which may be infected. You will experience a warm feeling with crackling sounds (similar to bacon sizzling) as the candles ingedients vapourise and the candle burns own. Once both ears have been treated, an ear, face and head massage is given to encorouge lymphatic drainage and enhance the effects of candling.
The circulation with the external ear of the enriched vapours, when reinforced by the massage, will form an overall holistic treatment. Together the combination of massage and heat along with the ingredients will soothe irritated areas, stimulate periperal blood circulation, intensify the immune system, strengthen the lymph glands and stimulate energy points eg, on the external ear.
